Production Management
Line Producer

What Does a Line Producer Do?
The Line Producer is the financial and logistical brain of a film production. They manage the day-to-day budget, hire crew, negotiate deals with vendors, and ensure the production stays on schedule and on budget. They work below the line (hence the title), managing all the practical aspects that make production possible — from securing locations and equipment to managing payroll and insurance. The line producer bridges the gap between the creative team's vision and the production's financial reality, making tough calls about where to spend and where to save.
