Call Sheet Template
A call sheet is the daily document sent to a film crew before each shoot day. It states the general call time, individual call times per person, which scenes are being shot, the location and its address, cast requirements, and safety information. It is the single reference everyone works from that day.
Script Breakdown Sheet Template
A script breakdown sheet records every production element required to shoot a single scene. It lists the scene's location, time of day and page count, then itemises cast, background, props, wardrobe, vehicles, stunts, effects and other elements by category, so each department knows exactly what to prepare.
Shooting Schedule Template
A shooting schedule is the order in which a film's scenes will be shot, grouped into shoot days. It is built from the script breakdown, with each scene becoming a strip carrying its cast, location, page count and time of day. Scenes are ordered to minimise company moves, cast hold days and overtime — not to follow script order.
Shot List Template
A shot list is an ordered breakdown of every camera setup required for a scene. Each entry specifies the shot size, camera angle, movement, lens and the action covered. Built by the director and cinematographer during prep, it is used on set to track which setups have been captured and which are still owed.
Day Out of Days Template
A Day Out of Days, or DOOD, is a grid showing each cast member's status on every shoot day of a production. Statuses mark when a performer starts, works, is held between work days, or drops. It is derived from the shooting schedule and determines how many days each performer must be paid for.
Film Budget Template
A film budget estimates the total cost of a production, organised into accounts and grouped into above-the-line, below-the-line, post-production and other categories. Account totals roll up into a top sheet summarising the whole production, which is then tracked against actual spend as the film is made.
Camera Report Template
A camera report is the log of every take recorded on a shoot day. It records the roll, scene, slate and take number, the lens and camera settings, the duration and timecode, and which takes the director selected. It travels with the media to post so the editor knows what exists and what was preferred.
Daily Production Report Template
A daily production report, or DPR, records what a production actually achieved on a shoot day — scenes and pages completed, setups shot, actual call and wrap times, meal breaks, overtime, and any incidents. It is compared against the schedule to track whether the production is ahead, on, or behind plan.
Screenplay Template
Screenplay format is the standardised layout for film scripts — 12pt Courier, specific margins for each element, and a strict set of components: scene headings, action, character cues, dialogue, parentheticals and transitions. The convention exists so that one formatted page approximates one minute of screen time.
