Messaging with Comms
Talk to productions (or crew) directly, share files, and keep everything in one thread.
Comms is ScenePaper's direct messaging. It's how productions and crew talk once there's mutual interest — no exchanging phone numbers required.
What you can do
- 1:1 conversations — each contact is a thread.
- Attachments — share files, references, or documents in the chat.
- Real-time — messages arrive live, with typing indicators and read receipts.
Where conversations start
- A production reaches out after seeing your Crew Card or submission.
- You reply to a booking or a callback.
- A contract is sent to you (it arrives as a message plus a notification).
Staying on top of it
Unread messages show a badge, and you'll get a Call Time (notification) for new messages. You can tune what notifies you in The Booth.
Keeping the conversation inside ScenePaper means everything — the job, the thread, the contract — stays in one place.
