The Diary — your shooting calendar

The Diary is one calendar covering every project you are on. Not one project at a time — all of them, together, which is the only view that answers "am I free that week?".

You do not build it. It assembles itself from the call sheets and schedules of the productions that have booked you.

What a day can be

Shows the project, the shoot day, your call time and location. | | Hold | You are held for the day — not shooting, but not free either. | | Pencil | A production has you on first or second hold from a submission. Not confirmed. | | Audition | A scheduled audition, with its time and location. |

Work and hold days carry their Day Out of Days code where the production has one — SW, W, WF, SWF, H, T or R.

Pencils are not bookings

A pencil comes from a submission that a production has placed on first or second hold. It is dated from the crew call's shoot dates, so it shows you the window you are being considered for.

It is a real thing to plan around and it is not a commitment. Treat a pencil as "do not book something else without asking first", not as work.

Clashes

If two productions have you as work or hold on the same date, The Diary flags it as a conflict. Pencils and auditions do not raise one — being considered by two productions at once is normal, and being booked by two is not.

A clash is surfaced, never resolved for you. Which job you keep is a conversation, not a setting.

What is not in it

A call sheet whose shoot day cannot be dated is left out rather than guessed at. If a production has not dated its schedule, its days cannot appear here.
