Your auditions

When a production wants to see you for a role, it schedules an audition against your submission. They appear under My Auditions, and on your Diary on the day.

Three kinds

• Self-tape — you record and submit it yourself, to a deadline
• In person — a time and a place
• Virtual — a scheduled call

Where it stands

An audition is scheduled, then becomes completed, or is recorded as no show or cancelled.

Auditions run in rounds — a first read and a callback are two rounds against the same submission, so the history stays in one place rather than becoming two unrelated events.

Being scored

More than one person from the production can score an audition. You do not see the scores. What you see is what has been scheduled, what it requires, and what happened.

That is deliberate. Scores exist so a production can compare fairly across a room of people; showing them to the person being scored would change what reviewers are willing to write down.

Self-tapes

If a self-tape is required, the crew call says so, and usually carries instructions and a deadline. Sides — the specific scenes to read — may be shared with you, in which case they appear under Scripts shared with you.
