Crew own gear, and productions need gear. Equipment is where the two meet.

Listing what you own

A listing carries the item's name, category, description, photos, a daily rate and currency, and its availability. Listings collect ratings and reviews from people who have actually rented from you.

Requesting a rental

Send a request with the dates you need and a message. The owner sees it and can accept or decline. A request is pending, then active, declined, or cancelled.

An accepted request creates an availability block on the listing for those dates, so the same kit cannot be double-booked. A comms thread opens between you and the owner for the practical conversation — pickup, condition, insurance.

Reviews

After a rental you can review it. That is what makes a listing's rating mean something, and it is why reviews are tied to a completed request rather than being open to anyone.

What ScenePaper does not do

Payment, insurance and liability sit between you and the owner. ScenePaper introduces you, holds the dates, and keeps the conversation — it is not a party to the rental.
