Getting Cleared (verification)

How Crew Card verification works — from In the Gate to Cleared.

Cleared is ScenePaper's verified badge. It tells productions your identity and credits are real — which makes them far more likely to book you.

The clearance lifecycle

Your Crew Card moves through these stages:

  1. Draft — you're still building it.
  2. In the Gate — you've submitted it for review.
  3. Cleared — verified. You now carry the trusted badge. ✅
  4. Pick Up — the reviewers need another take: something needs fixing or clarifying. Update your card and resubmit.
  5. Struck — removed (rare — reserved for policy violations).

How to get Cleared

  1. Complete your Crew Card — headshot, roles, location, bio, and at least some filmography.
  2. Submit it for review (this puts you In the Gate).
  3. Wait for the review. If anything needs changing you'll be moved to Pick Up with a note; fix it and resubmit.

What helps you clear faster

  • A real, recognizable headshot.
  • Filmography entries that can be checked.
  • Verified credits — productions you've worked with on ScenePaper can confirm your filmography, and peers can vouch for you. Both strengthen your card.
Being Cleared also unlocks full participation in the community — like posting in the Green Room.
