Why can't I…?
The most common blocks, and what each one actually means.
Most things that seem broken are a gate you have not passed yet. Here are the usual ones.
Why can't I post to the feed or the Green Room?
Posting needs standing: a cleared Crew Card, a cleared Production House you own, or active membership of a cleared house. If your card is still in Gate Check, that is the reason. See Getting Cleared.
Why can't I see my Crew Card publicly?
It has not been cleared yet, or it was picked up for changes. Check the status on your card — if it says *pick up*, there will be a note saying what to change.
Why was my submission for clearance refused?
Gate Check asks for a stated career level and a short statement of why you want to be cleared, and — unless you say you are new to the industry — one piece of evidence: a credit, a showreel, a portfolio piece or a guild membership. The message says which is missing.
Why can't I open the project tools?
Projects belong to a Production House. You need to own one or be a member of one. This is not about your account type — see which account do I need.
Why can't I edit something on a project?
Your role in that Production House. Viewers can read but not change. Ask an owner or producer to change your role — see team and permissions.
A script I could read has disappeared
Access was withdrawn. That usually means the draft changed or casting moved on. Ask the production rather than assuming a fault.
Why can't I apply to this crew call?
Either it is no longer open, or you have already applied, or the call is from your own production house. You cannot submit to your own posting.
Why has nobody seen my card?
New cards take time to surface. Make sure your primary role, city and rate are set — those are what Scout filters on, and a card missing them is much harder to find.
