The Daily Production Report
What each shoot day was — planned against shot, takes, setups, attendance, delays and cost — signed at wrap and sent as a PDF.
Open Production Reports from the production's menu and choose a day.
What fills itself in
- Scenes — the scenes on that day's board, each marked shot or not shot, and any scene completed that day that was not on the board (a pickup).
- Pages shot against pages planned, in eighths.
- Setups struck off the shot list, and takes logged, with how many were circled.
- Attendance from the day's call sheet: how many arrived, how many late, how many wrapped.
- Cost of the day, by department — only for people who can see crew pay.
"The day" is the unit's date in the production's time zone, through 06:00 the next morning, so a night shoot's work stays on the day it was shot.
What you write
First shot, lunch, camera wrap, unit wrap, the delays with the minutes each one cost and why, and notes. The report totals the time lost.
Signing
Sign the report needs a producer or line producer. Signing freezes it: takes logged or slips corrected later do not change a signed report. To correct one, reopen it with a reason — the reason stays on the report.
Download PDF gives the report as a document to send to the producers.
