Getting discovered in Scout

Scout is how productions search for crew. When a production looks for, say, a "gaffer in Mumbai available next month," Scout is what returns you. Here's how to rank well.

What Scout searches

Productions search and filter by:

• Role (primary and secondary)
• Location
• Availability
• Keywords — your headline and bio are matched, so write them for the roles you want.

How to rank higher

• Complete your Crew Card. More complete cards rank above sparse ones.
• Get Cleared. Verified crew stand out and are trusted.
• Write a specific headline. "DP · Docs & Commercials · Bengaluru" beats "Filmmaker."
• Keep availability current. Productions often filter for *Available for Call*.
• Add filmography. It's both a ranking signal and what convinces a production to reach out.
