Who can edit the schedule

Which roles can move strips and shoot days by default, and how to change that for one production.

The default

Changing the schedule — shoot days, strips, breakdown elements, scenarios, Day Out of Days and the day plan — needs the Edit the schedule permission. By default these roles have it:

  • Owner
  • Producer
  • Line producer
  • Assistant director
  • Coordinator
  • Director

A viewer can see the schedule but not change it. Anyone without the permission sees the board without its edit controls, and the server refuses a change from them even if they try another way.

Changing it for one production

On the project page, Who can do what on this production lists each permission with every role. The owner, producers and line producers can turn a role on or off for this production only — let a viewer schedule this one film, or keep the coordinator off it. Other productions keep their own settings.

  • The owner can always do everything; that cannot be switched off.
  • A changed setting is marked, and every change is recorded in the production's activity log.

Scoped members

Someone given access to a single production — the director who came in through the Pitch Room, for example — can edit that production's schedule if their role allows it, and nothing on any other production.
